This is to remind everyone of the rules for the upkeep of the cemetery. It is becoming increasingly difficult for the Lawn Service Company to properly do their job due to the number of items on the burial plots. Below are the dates and guidelines for when items may be placed on burial plots. We do allow for decorations on Holidays other than those listed; they may go up 1 week before and be removed 1 week after the holiday or they are subject to removal. Some items are still there from Christmas and Easter. Please help us maintain the beauty of the burial plots on our sacred grounds by observing the following rules:
Fresh Flowers Fresh Cut Flowers: Permitted year-round; recommended placement time is March 16 until November 14.
Artificial Flowers Artificial Flowers, Silk Flowers, Potted Plants, etc. Permitted from November 15 until March 15.
Plantings Individual plantings of shrubs, trees, flowers, etc. on cemetery grounds is prohibited.
Christmas Decorations Christmas decorations are permitted from December 1 until February 1.
Flags Flags are permitted on burial sites three days before and three days after Memorial Day, Independence Day and Veterans Day.
Others Other decorations, such as glass containers, vases, balloons, candles, etc., are prohibited year round and subject to immediate removal and disposal from cemetery grounds by staff. Solar lights are permitted as long as they do not impede the mowers or from Nov. 15 to March 15.
Pets Pets are not permitted on cemetery grounds.
Cemeteries are not responsible for articles or flowers left on burial sites.
